Earlier this month, students at Lincoln Elementary School were getting into shape and having fun with the help of One Class At A Time.
K-6 P.E. teacher Denise Pidcock purchased penalty boxes for her classes with the grant.
She said the new materials help mix up exercises while helping to improve coordination and agility.
“The fact that they’re excited to try something new and what’s funny is they don’t really realize that they’re working on their push ups, because they’re not out here in push up positions, they’re getting in the penalty box and so it’s totally different,” said Pidcock.
She added the penalty boxes are a great workout for every grade level at the school.
