A tradition continues this year as the Black Eagle Volunteer Fire Department prepares for the annual 4th of July parade.
The theme of this year’s Independence Day celebration is ‘Parade of Stars: Local Heroes.’ Four people will be honored as grand marshals during the event.
Smelter Avenue will close at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 4 from Mountain View Co-Op (1000 Smelter Ave. NE) to Anaconda Hills Golf Course (2315 Smelter Avenue).
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at the Black Eagle Country Club and will travel down Smelter Avenue to the Black Eagle Community Center.
Sunday, June 30th is the deadline for floats. If you would like to enter a float in the parade, you’re asked to contact BEVFD’s Facebook page.
