“I don’t really have an issue training very many of my clients on how to do it so that you can get the same look at home,” says Taylor, a Cosmetologist at Linda Michaels.
Taylor first preps her clients’ hair with L’ANZA Keratin Healing Oil Hair Treatment. “It’s going to give you shine, strength and volume,” notes Taylor. The product can go in wet or dry hair.
Linda Michaels chiefly uses L’ANZA, a 30-year veteran brand in the haircare industry specializing in protection and performance. L’ANZA products use “wildcrafted botanicals” throughout the world and offer safe options for color-treated hair.
To achieve the wave curl style, Taylor wraps sections of hair around a curling iron, letting them warmup, before dropping the nose of the curling iron down. She then circles the air with her iron and twists her wrist so the portion of hair that was just on the curling iron has a twist to it. Taylor continues the downward motion and at the end pulls straight down so the lowest section of hair doesn’t get a curl.
The next steps involve allowing the hair to cool down completely and spraying L’ANZA Healing Style Dry Texture Spray before breaking up the curls. Cooling the hair further sets in the curl. “This curl is really great for people whose hair doesn’t actually hold a curl very well,” says Taylor.
With the use of dry shampoo, the style can last several days.
