Don’t Miss This Year’s “Celebrity Night in Missoula

Missoula isn’t always known for celebrities hanging out around every corner, but that all changes on June 28 at Fort Missoula Regional Park.

This month is the second annual “Celebrity Night in Missoula”, and it’s even bigger and better than before. Here are just a few reasons it’s a can’t-miss summer event for Missoula families.

1. Meet and greet big NFL stars

Chat with and get autographs from professional NFL players like Jordy Tripp (Packers), Zach Wagenmann (Cardinals), Chase Reynolds (Rams), Ben Roberts (Titans), Tim Hauck(Philadelphia Eagles), Jimmy Farris (New England Patriots) and Colt Anderson (Bills).

2. Hang out with UM football and basketball coaches

Grizzlies fans will love the chance to meet former UM Griz coaches Bobby Hauck and Mick Delaney.

3. Get coaching and pointers from sports professionals

Youngsters of all ages alike can participate in the free Sports Clinic from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Football lovers will hear from former Griz Hall of Fame quarterback Marty Mornhinweg, who has coached five NFL Pro Bowl quarterbacks, including Brett Favre, Steve Young and Joe Flacco.

Kids can get football tips from and run drills some of the celebrity football players in attendance. Brian Qvale, the starting center for the EWE Baskets Oldenburg, will also be holding a session for young basketball players. Or, if your kids prefer to cheer and perform, they can participate in a cheer and dance clinic from UM’s Spirit Squad Director, Stacey Richards.

4. Compete in the Punt, Kick, Pass Competition

Boys and girls ages 6 and up can try their hand (or foot) in this fun competition starting for a $10 entry fee. Each contestant will have one chance to punt, kick and pass a football the furthest. Prizes (signed by celebrities in attendance) will awarded to the best in each age division.

5. Eat, drink and socialize

Overall, the evening is a great chance to have some family-friendly fun on a summer night. Food and beverages will be available, so you don’t have to worry about missing dinner or bringing along snacks.

6. Bring your autograph poster for celebrities to sign

Take home a memento of the night’s festivities by getting your official autograph poster signed by all of the big name attendees.

You can pick up your FREE poster for celebrity signatures before the event at the following Opportunity Bank branches, Member FDIC and Equal Housing Lender:

Missoula Downtown – 200 N Higgins Ave.
Missoula Reserve – 1510 S Reserve St.
