POLSON — Authorities in Lake County report that a body was found Tuesday afternoon in Polson.
Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says that at about 12:40 p.m., 911 dispatchers received reports that a body had been found on the shore of Flathead Lake.
First responders determined when they arrived that the person was dead, according to Sheriff Bell, who added that foul play is not suspected at this time.
An investigation is underway and the body has been taken to the State Crime Lab in Missoula so that an autopsy can be performed.
The name of the person is not being released pending the notification of next of kin.
