(GREAT FALLS) Students at Lincoln Elementary School were asked to think of their futures today.

The Annual Fall Walk-A-Thon’s theme was, ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’

Students were asked to dress up as their future professions. Many dressed up as doctors, policemen, firefighters and even football players.

“Having students that want to dress up and take part in this with their families has really made it into a great atmosphere,” Principal Jon Konen said.

The fundraiser is an effort to raise money so the PTA can purchase new safety measures for the school.

Last year, the school was able to buy security cameras.

Students were asked to fundraise for the event, and the PTA was on hand selling t-shirts.

Konen says the cool part about today was they were able to incorporate their theme of GRIT, which he says is a great guideline for students to follow.

GRIT stands for:

Give it your all.

Redo if necessary.

Ignore giving up.

Take time to do it right.

“Our theme this whole year is about GRIT, so we wanted to connect with GRIT,” Konen said.

If you are interested in donating or buying a t-shirt you can contact the school.
