(VAUGHN) On Saturday, Jordan Schroeder will be hosting Pumpkin For A Cause. Jordan and his dad Phil have been doing this for the past four years.

“This is somewhat Jordan’s energy and adventure. We like to cater to the special needs community,” Phil said.

Jordan receives services through Quality Life Concepts. He is also a Special Olympics Athlete and an Eagle Mount participant.

Phil says it is fun to be able to support those with disabilities in the community.

“Each year he gives to a different cause. Last year if was for the Montana Wildfire Relief Fund and this year it is going to be for the Rocky Mountain Front ‘Farm In The Dell’ program,” Phil said.

Jordan and Phil use this a one of their father-son projects that they like to do together.

“It is a good activity for the two of us. It is also a great opportunity and we appreciate all the support we can get,” Phil said.

People can also enjoy some hot chocolate, hot dogs, and hay rides during the event. Free-will donations are encouraged to help benefit the Farm In The Dell.

Pumpkins For A Cause is this Saturday (October 6) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 87 Meridian Lane in Vaughn.

The Farm In The Dell website provides more information about its mission, including this overview:

To build a community-based, self-supporting farm for people with intellectual disabilities in the Rocky Mountain Front area. Our goal is to provide a home where individuals can live healthy and productive lives, while they integrate into the local community in a way that is beneficial for both the community and the farm.
